The magazine enBarcelona was created as a proposal to transform Guía del Ocio after having positioned for three decades as the reference guide in the city of Barcelona. In a time of crisis in the Spanish market, and especially in the publishing industry, enBarcelona leverages the expertise of the guide to create a totally new product, more addressed to tourism. The new design might include contents in English and Spanish and new sections like agenda, interviews as well as the traditional listing that had been characterized Guía del Ocio. The new format changed from A5 to A4 and the periodicity from weekly to monthly which permitted having more time to covers and design in general.
